It is raining this morning, so here is Brandon working inside painting the ceiling and walls of the upstairs bathroom.  Just a few days ago, our plumber, Fred Daggett, installed and hooked up the sink, tub and toilet.  The carpenter, Jan Watson, will add finishing touches soon.

I just spent a couple of days building a goat run just outside of the east fence around the garden.  We are hoping the goats can keep the weeds and grass under control there and we'll deal with the other side of the fence.

These corners are pretty neat.  Cody, who was our farmhand some years ago, left a small fence he had built for his chickens.  I used some parts from it and bought a few more at D&B.  They are a product called WedgeLoc.

The run is about 115 feet long and 5 feet wide.

The five young chickens have been moved out to a grassy pen near the orchard where the adult chickens live.  They will have to grow a bit more before they will be able to hold their own with adults.

This picture is the view the cat gets when he stands on top of their pen to admire them.

The five little chicks are now pretty big.  The weather was summer-like and they spent the day outside.
